Kirkstall
The bustling Kirkstall valley area represents a gateway to the delights of Leeds and beyond. Leading out of the city centre, all the main action is located around Kirkstall Road, which connects the fringes of Burley, Headingley, Horsforth and Armley before joining up to the outer ring road. For this, and its great train and bus links, Kirkstall is a very convenient base for those commuting across the region as well as to the university campuses. There is a comprehensive line up of entertainment dotted all the way along the main road, emerging out the other side in the welcoming urban oasis of Kirkstall abbey ruins. Not only do locals benefit from 2 retail and leisure parks featuring facilities such as Vue cinema, Virgin Active gym and Morrison’s, but there are a significant number of renowned independent eateries – such as the award winning Mill Race organic restaurant and tapas bar Cuban Heals. |
