About Us

continued:

Although all on the committee have shop fronts, that will be well known to most people, many of our members still work from home, or a mobile telephone. We welcome any new members, regardless of the size of their portfolio.

At a critical time for the industry, with the introduction of licensing by the government, the proposed banning of the to-let signs in parts of Leeds, the ongoing proliferation of city centre apartments and large purpose built private student halls, we have been active in lobbying the local authority and keeping our members informed of what is happening in the market place.

Our first major project, which has just been completed is DWELLA. This is the largest website of its type in the city, with 100s of professional lets to be advertised during 2006 and over 75% of privately owned student property  advertised from the beginning of January 2006.

The website is currently free to all members and their properties will be advertised regardless of the size of their portfolio with equality.

With all the different organisations already paid up and committed to the LLA, it will guarantee that thousands of properties will be advertised from January 2006 on the Dwella website: which will make it the first port of call for Students and Professional tenants in Leeds.
