With a more laid-back residential atmosphere, Woodhouse offers students a quieter life than neighbouring Hyde Park. While similarly convenient for both universities there is a larger population of Leeds locals, who help to create a more established sense of community. The Chemic Tavern and Pack Horse pubs typify this refreshingly relaxed social scene, although the vibrant hub of activity that is Hyde Park Corner remains at the fringes of Woodhouse and ensures that full-on student life is never far away.
